2024: Plant Restart

In October 2024, it became known that the company Koblik Group resumed work at the production site (legal entity - Koblik Orenburg) in the Orenburg region, which previously belonged to the American manufacturer of agricultural equipment, and John Deere began to produce agricultural machinery. To restart the plant, ₽1,5 billion were invested, which made it possible to establish new technological processes in three months and start producing the first units of finished products, the Minister of Economic Development, Investment, Tourism and External Relations of the Orenburg Region said. According to Interfax, the restart of the plant ensured the creation of 30 jobs, but the company plans to expand its staff to 200 employees within a year. According to Petukhov, it is expected that the company will annually bring to the budget of the Orenburg region up to ₽160 million tax deductions, which will be a significant contribution to the economy of the region.

At the first stage of production, Koblik Group launched the production of grain dryers. In the future, the company plans to expand its product line to include grain overloaders and conveyor dryers. According to the company, the launch of new production lines will not only increase the volume of manufactured equipment, but also strengthen the position of Koblik Group in the Russian agricultural equipment market.

According to company representatives, the decision to buy a plant in the Orenburg region was made in the spring of 2023, after John Deere suspended its activities in Russia due to the imposed sanctions. The new owners took less than a year to adapt the plant to their own production tasks.^[1]
