Education

He graduated from the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Forecasting, as well as a specialist in accounting and management at Missouri Southern State University.

Career

Zhakipzhanov served as Lenovo's director for work with state institutions in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Before joining Lenovo, he acted as head of corporate sales at Technodom, where he was responsible for building relations with large b2b clients, developing a sales portfolio, including for the banking and educational industries. Previously, he worked for more than 10 years as a partner network manager at SAP (Kazakhstan).

2024: Death by murder

On October 10, 2024 Almaty region Kazakhstan , the body of 42-year-old top Lenovo manager Yermek Zhakipzhanov was found with signs of violent death. A criminal case has been opened into the murder.

It is reported that on October 9, 2024, he left the house at ul. Masanchi, 23/5, after which he left in his dark gray Hyundai car Genesis. After that, nothing was known about the whereabouts of the man. A day later, a top manager's car was discovered, and then on the outskirts of the village of Otegen-Batyr in the Ili district of the Almaty region, Zhakipzhanov's corpse was found.

With signs of violent death, the corpse of a 42-year-old man who went missing in Almaty a day earlier was found. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the murder by the police, the law enforcement agencies said.

During operational-search activities, criminal police officers in the Karaganda region in hot pursuit detained and taken to a temporary detention center a 24-year-old suspect. As of October 11, 2024, all the necessary investigative actions are being carried out, the circumstances and motives of the crime are being clarified.^[1]

42-year-old Zhakipzhanov disappeared in Alma-Ata on October 10, 2024. The next day, his body was found in the village of Otegen batyr of the Ili district of the Alma-Ata region with signs of violent death. Then it was reported that during the operational-search activities, criminal police officers in the Karaganda region in hot pursuit identified and detained a 24-year-old murder suspect. Later it became known that the second perpetrator of the murder of Zhakipzhanov was taken into custody.^[2]
