2024: Implementation of Kontur.KEDO
AstraZeneca and Enders have optimized the HR workflow with Kontur.KEDO. SKB Kontur announced this on October 14, 2024.
Companies in Russia are interested in optimizing personnel processes. Personnel electronic document management (KEDO) is one of the options for digitalizing the internal exchange of documents, both small and large companies are introducing the technology.
The international biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has a representative office in Russia, with 1800 employees, 1,300 of whom work remotely. The process of signing personnel documents sometimes took a month due to the large number of remote employees. Personnel specialists had to maintain a register of document movement. The heavy burden on specialists and delays in processing documents became the main reasons for the implementation of the EDC. In addition, the transition to electronic document management is closely related to the company's sustainable development strategy and the Paper Free project. It aims to reduce environmental harm from the company's operations.
In 2023, the company transferred the signing of advance reports online - for this, the Kontur.KEDO service was introduced. A year later, in July 2024, AstraZenek launched electronic registration of vacations.
{{quote 'author = said Yulia Stepchenkova, Head of Human Resources Administration and Personnel Accounting Systems at AstraZeneca. | The process of registration of all types of vacation in our company is one of the largest. Between July and August, the personnel service processes about 700-800 applications. Therefore, the need to digitalize this process was obvious. In just a month of implementation of the EDEC, 70% of employees switched to electronic registration of vacations. AstraZenek plans not to dwell on advance reports and vacations and transfer other personnel processes to the EDC,}}
{{quote 'author = noted Ekaterina Prosyanova, IT Manager and Partner IT-Business at AstraZeneca. | Following our sustainability strategy and Paper Free program, we set ourselves the ambitious goal of converting most paper HR documents to electronic format. These are vacation schedules, consent to the processing of personal data, and various additional agreements. By the end of 2024, we plan to transfer 95% of the state to KEDO. Through electronic document management, we can save on courier services and take care of the environment by eliminating the use of paper media and paint.}}
At Enders, the reasons for implementing the CEDO were different. The organization is engaged in the supply of equipment and consumables for food production and supermarkets. The organization employs 37 employees in a hybrid format. The period of transition to CEDO in Enders fell on isolation during a pandemic - all employees had to switch to a remote work format. And problems immediately began: the documents were lost, difficulties arose when signing them.
The company transferred all personnel processes to Kontur.KEDO. We started the transition with the registration of electronic vacations, advance reports and travel.
{{quote 'author = Vera Raskutina, senior manager of digitalisation at Enders. | The transition to electronic document management allowed us to save on a paper archive. We managed to maintain a hybrid mode of operation, increase the number of jobs, but at the same time save on rent. Now employees do not have to come to the office to draw up personnel documents,}}
{{quote 'author = noted Leonid Potoskuev, Head of the Project Implementation Team Cont.QEDO. | CED allows you to optimize routine tasks related to personnel workflow. It becomes easier for specialists to draw up, coordinate and sign documents. And employees can get acquainted with the necessary document at any time. As a result, employees have more time to fulfill their main tasks, their productivity increases, and the company's profit increases,}}
For small and large companies, the reasons for switching to KEDO may differ. Some need to speed up the process of obtaining originals, others have the task of systematizing the workflow of the hybrid team. The reasons for switching to KEDO are different, but the importance of the technology remains regardless of the scale of the business.
