2024: Launch of a plant for the production of packaging for dietary supplements and cosmetics

On October 15, 2024, an enterprise specializing in the production of polymer packaging for cosmetics, household chemicals, food and dietary supplements (dietary supplements) was opened in the city of Zhukov, Kaluga Region. The total investment in the project exceeded ₽4 billion.

According to the Industrial Development Fund (FRP), ₽500 million of the total investment to Proteus Plant were provided in the form of a preferential loan under the Development Projects program. These funds were used to purchase high-performance injection equipment, molds, a centralized feed system, a cooling system, as well as equipment for moving and packaging products.

The new production site of the Proteus Plant occupies 36 thousand square meters and is equipped with modern high-tech equipment. Due to the expansion of capacity, the total production of plastic products of the enterprise increased by 80%, reaching 800 million bottles and cans, as well as 850 million caps per year.

One of the key features of the new production is the use of a mono-step technology, in which the finished product is obtained from PET granulate in one cycle. This method provides high quality products, no damage and premium appearance, which is especially important for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

Dmitry Naydenov, founder of Proteus Plant JSC, noted the growing demand for monostade packaging, which is associated, among other things, with the active localization of cosmetic industries in Russia. He stressed that the support of the FRP played a key role in the implementation of the project and made it possible to significantly increase the production capacity of the enterprise.

The launch of the new site of the Proteus Plant is also of important socio-economic importance for the region. As a result of the expansion of production, almost 300 new jobs were created, which contributes to improving the situation on the labor market of the Kaluga region.^[1]
