2024: Using trucks without drivers

Rokvul-Volga, a leading manufacturer of innovative stone wool solutions, has begun operating unmanned electric cargo vehicles in the Alabuga special economic zone. Six Evocargo N1 autonomous electric cars began regular operation in October 2024 along three specially designed routes, carrying out uninterrupted transportation of pallets with mineral wool.

The technology is based on advances in artificial intelligence and an advanced multisensory sensor system that allows autonomous trucks to move efficiently and safely among conventional vehicles at any time of the day.

Kirill Dolgopolov, head of the Rokvul warehouse logistics projects, explained in detail that the introduction of drones will significantly reduce routine operations, significantly reduce traffic at the production site and radically increase the safety of all operational processes.

The Russian company EvoCargo, specializing in the provision of comprehensive autonomous cargo transportation services, is the only certified operator in the country who successfully operates under the robots-as-a-service model based on its own autonomous transport. The service is offered to customers on a flexible subscription on a monthly basis, which completely eliminates the need for capital expenditures on the purchase of vehicles.

High-tech unmanned EvoCargo systems successfully operate at more than 40 strategic facilities throughout Russia, effectively serving leading companies in the oil refining, chemical and production industries, as well as modern logistics centers of the largest marketplaces and retailers.

Deputy General Director - Commercial Director of EvoCargo Vasily Zhukov emphasized the important environmental component of the innovative project, stressing the critical importance of systematically reducing the carbon footprint in all logistics processes of modern production.[1]
