2024: Product Announcement
On October 24, 2024, Clone Robotics introduced the Torso robotic system with artificial muscles and tendons that function as real. Thanks to its unique design, the machine is capable of imitating human movements with high accuracy.
Torso is a torso with two arms and a head. The device is equipped with a whole spine, which provides a stable support structure and repeats the functions of the human spine. Thanks to the movable neck, a wide range of head movements is achieved, which improves the adaptability of the robot. Each arm joint - from the shoulder to the fingertips - can move, allowing the machine to perform many complex tasks that require fine motor skills.
Torso uses an electrohydraulic pump with a capacity of 500 W, which is responsible for the functioning of artificial muscles. The system is even able to simulate the work of the human heart. The frame is made of carbon fiber: it has a very high strength with a small mass. Each arm is equipped with an independent electrohydraulic valve system that provides high-precision control. The accumulator battery Block is located in the abdominal cavity. The management system and network functions are implemented on the basis of the Raspberry Pi 4B single-board computer.
Artificial muscles and tendons make the robot's movements smoother and more natural. Clone Robotics highlights several possible use cases for Torso. For example, at enterprises, the machine will be able to perform complex assembly operations, and in medicine - to help patients in restoring the motor functions of the upper limbs. The robot will also come in handy in the service industry and will be able to work as an au pair.[1]
