2024: PT Application Inspector Implementation

InfoWatch has built Positive Technologies' PT Application Inspector static analyzer into the secure development process, which announced this on October 15, 2024.

The full implementation of PT Application Inspector in the existing InfoWatch product creation cycle took only a month and a half. The use of the analyzer helped DevSecOps specialists on the stream identify, check and fix vulnerabilities, including critical ones, at all stages of development. The scanner is capable of analyzing a large number of languages, so it is used by almost all InfoWatch programmer teams.

We have already worked with products of this class - AppChecker and Svace. Following the increase in the number of R&D subdivisions, the expansion of the product line and the transition to flexible development methodologies, we needed a more functional solution in the field of software code security analysis. The implementation of PT Application Inspector allowed you to check projects created in languages, Go,, Python JavaScript TypeScript,. PHP I also note the possibility of scanning the code without С/С + + preliminary instrumental assembly, which significantly reduced the verification time, - said Andrei Petrov, head of the infrastructure management department for developing and testing InfoWatch software.
