The court returns to the state of the stock BSK
The arbitration court of Bashkiria cancelled privatization of stocks of Bashkir Soda Company (BSC) for benefit of Bashkhim. They will be credited to the account of Rosimushchestvo.
The State Office of Public Prosecutor at the request of the president Putin disputed on August 28, 2020 legality of the transaction as a result of which the state lost control over BSK.
Bashkhim is controlled by the businessman Dmitry Pyatkin and the former first vice governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Sergey Chernikov.
The Russian President Putin commented on the conflict around "The Bashkir soda company"
In August, 2020 the Russian President Putin commented on the conflict around "The Bashkir soda company":
"I ask the Government of the Russian Federation together with the leadership of the Republic of Bashkortostan in details to understand a situation";
"The money earned with the company is practically not invested in development, in the region does not remain. At the total amount of revenue of 45 billion rubles only 2.5 billion rubles went to the investment purposes. Where money? It is known where. In offshores";
"I charge to prosecutor's office to carry out an inspection of legality of the transaction because of which control of the state of assets of the Bashkir soda company was lost".
The president became interested in BSK after the structure of the company with the permission of the authorities of Bashkiria began preparation for mining of limestone on an ancient shikhan of Kushtau. Locals began to protest, collisions with protection and detentions began. To protesters the head of Bashkiria Habirov Radium which promised to reach compromise came.
2013: Bashkhim received a controlling stake of BSK
Bashkhim received a controlling stake of BSK (57.18%) in 2013 when Bashkir Soda and Caustic soda were united in holding. Before accession of Soda to Caustic soda Bashkiria owned 61.65% of authorized capital of Soda, Bashkhim - 34.82%.
