On October 30, 2024, it became known that the Russian Social Fund signed a contract with Hi-Tech integration for the supply of 4653 automated workplaces with the Linux operating system for territorial bodies. The amount of the transaction, executed on September 27, 2024, amounted to more than ₽400 million.

According to CNews, the cost of one workplace is set at ₽83,9 thousand. The purchased computers must be equipped with six-core processors, 16 GB of RAM and support operation on the Linux kernel version at least 5.15.

The equipment will be distributed between the territorial units of the Social Fund in 35 regions of Russia - from the Novgorod region to Buryatia and from the Magadan region to the Chechen Republic. Some of the computers will go to the central office of the department.

According to the terms of reference, the operating system must function on computers with an x86-64 hardware platform. Each workstation will be equipped with three USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.

The contractor is Hi-Tech Integration, which has been operating on the market since 2015 as part of Hi-Tech Corporation, which is one of the hundred largest IT companies in Russia. The company's portfolio includes projects to create a structured cable system of the Financial University under the Government of Russia and a unified telephone communication system of the Government of the Moscow Region.

Public procurement is the second stage in the supply of automated jobs for the territorial bodies of the Social Fund. The tender was announced on August 28, 2024 on the website of the unified information system in the field of procurement.

The first stage of the supply of computer equipment for the Social Fund was accompanied by two complaints to the Federal Antimonopoly Service regarding bias in choosing a supplier.[1]
