2024: PromAvtoConsult bought the Kaluga plant for the production of auto components from Benteler

The Moscow company PromAvtoConsult acquired a 100% stake in Benteler Automotiv LLC, a Kaluga plant for the production of auto components, previously owned by the German concern Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbH. The transaction was registered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on October 30, 2024.

The Kaluga plant of Benteler has been operating in Russia since 2009. The company specialized in the production of components for passenger cars of Volkswagen, Audi, Toyota and Mercedes brands. Among the products produced were chassis elements, passive safety systems, tubular parts, as well as exhaust systems.

The German concern Benteler in 2022 recorded write-offs on Russian assets in the amount of more than €9.2 million, and at the end of 2023 received a binding offer to sell the business.

According to the agency, PromAvtoConsult, founded in September 2022, is actively expanding its presence in the automotive industry. In 2024, the company created several new enterprises: Plastimat and Pressprom-NN in Nizhny Novgorod, Terratech in the Moscow region and a management company in Moscow.

After the acquisition of the Ulyanovsk Schaeffler plant, the production enterprise was renamed Ulyanovsk Auto Components. Its revenue in 2023 increased by 65.6%.

Since the end of September 2024, the head company of PromAvtoConsult has become Statika JSC under the leadership of Alexander Gorlov, who also heads PromAvtoConsult itself and a number of companies included in the group.[1]
