ROSNO processes insurance and finance documents using technologies of ABBYY

The ABBYY company, software developer and service provider in the field of linguistics, recognitions of documents and data entry, announced system implementation of stream input of the documents ABBYY FlexiCapture 9.0 in SK "ROSNO". Implementation became a part of the project on creation in insurance company of a single system of the storage and data processing implemented with the assistance of specialists of ABBYY. The first stage of the project is at the moment successfully completed: ABBYY FlexiCapture already processes a number of the insurance and finance documents processed in the Moscow regional directorate of ROSNO.

In the course of creation of uniform electronic archive before the management of SK "ROSNO" there was a question of the choice of a system of stream input by means of which the current documentation will be processed before receipt in archive. Three solutions – ABBYY FlexiCapture, EMC Captiva and Kofax took part in the tender organized by insurance company. According to the results of testing the commission of experts of the customer gave preference to the solution of ABBYY as optimal on a ratio functionality/cost/quality of technical support, says ABBYY. System implementation is implemented by the Russian integrator – IT company in interaction with specialists of ABBYY.

It is expected that ABBYY FlexiCapture will help SK "ROSNO" to accelerate processing and placement of the current documentation to the electronic data warehouse which is based on the IBM Content Manager platform. In turn, the electronic archive will increase safety of data, having given to the staff of the company an opportunity of quick search of necessary documents. All this will allow SK "ROSNO" to increase the speed, efficiency and quality of work with client documents, noted in ABBYY.

ABBYY FlexiCapture processes all document types, entering a CMTPL packet and also a number of finance documents now: receipt A-7, outgoing payment orders, payment requests, receipt and cash and memorial orders. Templates were developed for the listed document types by specialists of ABBYY.

Feature of a solution architecture – a geographically-distributed structure of processing stages which became possible thanks to scalability of ABBYY FlexiCapture. A system is installed in Moscow, at the same time scanning and recognition of documents are made at different Moscow offices of the company, and verification – in the Operational center in Voronezh. Only several employees are involved in process, and time for document handling is minimized.

"System implementation of stream input of ABBYY FlexiCapture will allow us to provide the continuity of the main business processes, to simplify and centralize mass operations on document handling in the uniform Operational center in Voronezh and, thereby, to reduce costs of the company", – Kirillov Mikhail, the director of the Center of processing of insurance documentation of SK "ROSNO" noted.

"According to the results of the first stage of the project it is already possible to speak about noticeable optimization of workflow at the Moscow offices "ROSNO". We hope that at the second stage we will achieve the same results and in other branches of the company", – Kovalyov Sergey, the CIO of company SK "ROSNO" told.

On the second and the subsequent stages of implementation remote scanning in all SK "ROSNO" regional offices will be implemented. The automated processing using ABBYY FlexiCapture will cover documents on settlement of losses of clients (a considerable part of work of any insurance company), policies of a comprehensive insurance and the annex to them, policies of VHI, the agreements "Green card", insurance contracts of property, etc.
