Detonation of APU bunker with ammunition. VIDEO
The armed forces Russia used robotic the Mole platform to destroy a fortified enemy object. This became known on November 22, 2024. As a result of the point impact, the detonation of stored ammunition in the bunker occurred, which led to a powerful secondary explosion that destroyed the fortification.
According to Russian newspaper"," the remotely controlled complex successfully approached the enemy's positions. The operator who led the action, robot after careful inspection of the enemy position, chose the most vulnerable place to strike. The initial detonation was followed by the detonation of ammunition stored in the bunker, which caused significant damage to the enemy infrastructure.
The Mole robotic platform is a compact wheeled system with high performance and maneuverability in rough terrain and urban areas. The technical characteristics of the complex make it possible to transport up to six anti-tank mines TM-62 a total weight of up to 60 kilograms, which ensures the effective defeat of fortified military infrastructure facilities.
Russian units continue to actively use the Mole robotic platforms on the combat contact line. The use of remotely controlled systems minimizes risks to personnel when performing complex combat missions in conditions of direct contact with the enemy. High mobility and accuracy of hitting targets ensure the effective execution of operations to neutralize strengthened positions.
The introduction of robotic complexes significantly expands the tactical capabilities of units when performing special tasks in the area of a military operation.[1]
Product Announcement
In early November 2024, it became known that specialists from the Russian Design and Production Company "New Frontier" developed a multifunctional ground-based robotic complex called "Mole." This is a kamikaze drone capable of performing a wide range of tasks.
The "Mole" is based on a wheeled platform. The machine can carry up to 30 kg of payload on board. The robot has remote control: to control its operation, a joystick and a special helmet are used, providing a first-person view (FPV). The ground drone is characterized by high maneuverability and relatively small dimensions.
"Mole" can be used to defeat enemy manpower, destroy various structures and fortifications, as well as destroy firing positions and strongholds. In addition, the vehicle is suitable for transporting ammunition, provisions and fuel, as well as for operations to evacuate wounded servicemen from the battlefield. The functionality of the robot varies depending on the configuration.
It is noted that as of the beginning of November 2024, the capabilities of the "Mole" are assessed in the zone of a special military operation. The drone will be used in real combat conditions.[2]
