The automated system includes server and network equipment, local computing and wireless networks, storage and backup systems. It provides for the collection, personalized accounting and processing of information about insured citizens and the medical care provided to them.

The main task of the system is to organize data exchange between compulsory medical insurance participants to agree on bills for medical care. The system includes specialized services with limited access to information processing.

Public procurement for system maintenance was posted on November 1, 2024 on the official website of the Unified Procurement Information System. Smart Technologies, which became a co-owner of Aquarius in February 2022, won the electronic auction.

The system provides information interaction of all participants and subjects of compulsory medical insurance in Moscow. Maintenance will take place in parallel with the process of transferring the analytical subsystem to domestic software.[1]
