The Moscow City Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund was created in 1993 by the Moscow City Duma and the Moscow Government to implement the state policy in the field of compulsory medical insurance as an integral part of state social insurance.

The Territorial Fund manages compulsory health insurance in the territory of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, Designed to guarantee the free provision of medical care to insured persons within the framework of compulsory medical insurance programs and in order to ensure the financial stability of compulsory medical insurance in the territory of a subject of the Russian Federation, as well as solving other tasks established by the Federal Law of November 29, 2010 N 326-FZ 'On Compulsory Medical Insurance in the Russian Federation', the Model Regulation on TFCMI of the Law on the Budget of the Territorial Fund.

2022: The court ordered the European Medical Center to return 109 million rubles to the compulsory medical insurance fund due to the transfer of money to dollars

As it became known at the end of April 2022, the court ordered the European Medical Center to return 109 million rubles to the compulsory medical insurance fund due to the transfer of money into dollars. The company could not challenge the requirement of the local city compulsory health insurance fund to the Moscow Arbitration Court. More details here.
