2024: Orbox Integration Begins

Limited Liability Company GPM Entertainment Television"" together with the company Tekom"" began the process integration of a domestic file control system ORBOX for checking video content entertainment TV channels. Gazprom-Media Holding Tekom announced this on November 19, 2024. The QC system from Tekom will replace the foreign quality control solution and will be used on all TV channels of GPM RTV LLC.

ORBOX is used by the customer to check the quality of video files during the transfer to archive phase. The system works on the principle of custom folders (watchfolder) and automatically checks the quality of video files, helping to detect technical defects. ORBOX includes more than 70 tests for checking audio and video, as well as analyzing container parameters and codecs.

GPM RTV LLC noted that the introduction of ORBOX occurs without slowing down workflows. The system allows you to effectively identify problems with incorrect file containers and maintain a stable rate of their arrival in the archive. In the near future, the company plans to use the system to control the quality of video files in preparation for the broadcast on all its TV channels and their streaming versions.

We have been communicating with Tekom for a long time and decided to switch to a domestic system, which is not only not inferior, but also largely surpasses the existing analogue of foreign production. At the current stage of implementation, ORBOX allows us to be sure that high-quality content is in the archive. We plan to expand the use of the system and check the video files that come to the air for all our TV channels, - commented on the cooperation with the Tekom Director of the Technical Department of GPM RTV LLC Aleksei Volkov.
