2024: Implementation of the reporting system based on the Visiology platform
The company Agronomist-Sad"" together with the team Conteq introduced an automated reporting system based on the platform Visiology and extractor. data Denwick This decision allowed the company to quickly receive data and optimize management processes. This was announced on November 29, 2024 by representatives of Conteq.
As reported, like many other companies, Agronom-Sad faced the need to quickly receive up-to-date information on income, expenses and activities for making management decisions. Until 2024, all data uploading took place manually. Moreover, the information came not from one, but from several 1C modules at once, which could be contradictory and not coordinated with each other. There were many problems with the quality and heterogeneity of data due to the lack of a single source and the underdevelopment of the systems used. To do this, the Conteq team has developed a solution for automating reporting.
The main objective of the project was the possibility of operational visualization information from 1C data. Together with the Agronom-Sad team, represented by Dmitry Alekseevich Poznyakov the director of the IT investment fund, the information Evermount Capital Group and analytical platform Visiology and the 1C data extractor from Denvik were chosen, which made it possible to create an effective reporting system as soon as possible.
The main theses of the developed solution:
- A single data warehouse based on MSSQL has been developed. Now it is to this connection point that data is received from various sources;
- Integration with 1C ERP 8.3 (based on Denvik) and Excel is set up. It is important to note that specific 1C knowledge is not required for data analysis and integration setup by Denwick;
- Datasets have been created with different update schedules depending on the business entity. For example, uploading data for directories is 1 time/day, and for documents and ledgers 1C - 1 time/hour. Total - 29 data sets;
- At the DWH level, storefronts have been developed on data obtained through Denwick;
- Loaders have been created with daily loading of storefronts in the ViQube data model;
- 5 developed with dashboards automated data update (Harvest, Sales Analysis, Product Market Price Analysis, Technical Status Report, transport Buildings and Structures Report).
The Customer had several criteria, which he was guided by when looking for a suitable system, including:
- The ability to set a flexible update schedule;
- There are extensive opportunities to change the visual representation for yourself;
- Sending ready-made dashboards for quick and convenient information;
- Report portal like Power BI;
- Availability of the mobile version without adaptation, as many investors use mobile phones or tablets.
The choice of Visiology for the Customer was dictated by clear priorities. The system fully meets the key requirements: a flexible update schedule, various visualization tools, a function for sending dashboards, a convenient report portal similar to Power BI, and a full-fledged mobile version without the need to adapt have become decisive arguments. noted Olga Chernetsova, leading business analyst at Conteq |
Several examples of the reports received, which Agronom- Sad uses for November 2024 (all data in the reports are synthetic):
- The report on the collection of apples allowed to increase the percentage of collection of apples of the 1st class by 30%.
- The report on online stores made it possible to optimize the bargaining position for the commercial service in the company.
- The Apple Sales Analysis report forms a unified methodology and approach to calculating indicators, allowing employees to assess the actual KPI.
Project features
- Tight deadlines: Over 9 months, 11 automated reports were developed with a variety of visualization levels - from complex to simple. It is important for the Customer to see a clear and structured picture.
- Fast development speed: This was largely made possible by the high speed of configuring integration with Denwick - in just 2-4 hours.
- Simplicity: Configuring data upload does not require in-depth 1C knowledge. A business analyst can complete a task without prior experience with the system.
- Data accuracy: equalized asset accounting in 1C. Now the company's budget is based only on real data.
- Broad application: data analysis, which covers almost all areas of the business.
- Flexibility: Prompt response to changes in data sources without involving developers. It is possible to select different methods of unloading and periodicity.
As of November 2024, we are actively engaged in the transition to Visiology v3. We carry out work in the offseason so as not to affect critical processes for the company. Our goal is to gradually import all reports from the second version into the third. noted representatives of the company "Agronomist-Sad" |
Already in November 2024, the Customer notes that with each next release, Visiology makes the transition process more convenient and smooth. Thus, Visiology v3 is constantly improving, optimizing development thanks to a flexible approach to working with data using DAX. In addition, Agronomist-Sad is actively introducing a tool for managing the garden economy. The next step is to set up the integration of business intelligence with this system in order to provide Shareholders and managers with up-to-date information on the economy.
Along with this, in the future, it is planned to automate reporting for the production units of Agronom-Sad, which are also interested in the business analytics system, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence technologies.
In general, the project, according to Conteq, to automate reporting for Agronom-Sad has become an example of effective integration of modern technologies into the agricultural sector. Using the Denvik data extractor and the Visiology platform, the company was able to make prompt and informed management decisions.
For Agronom-Sad, we found the optimal solution: the combination of Denvik and Visiology solutions suited the Customer's requirements, providing flexibility, convenience and availability of data. reported by Yulia Solovey, Director of BI Department at Conteq |
The introduction of an automated reporting system not only optimized the quality and speed of management decisions, but also showed that due to the flexibility of the platform and the affordable cost of entry, business analytics can be effective and not as costly as previously assumed when using foreign decisions. told Dmitry Poznyakov, IT Director at Evermount Capital Group Investment Fund |
