"NPO" ITS "began the installation in Bashkortostan of an additional 56 complexes of photo and video recording of violations on the roads. The company announced this on February 7, 2025.
The Company will perform a complete set of works at the request of the customer, the data center of Bashkortostan, including installation and commissioning of equipment with subsequent lease for 5 years. The complexes have already been installed at the 7 most emergency intersections and road sections of Ufa. The necessary infrastructure was built in Sterlitamak, Neftekamsk and Oktyabrsky, mortgages and supports for installation were prepared. Work on the launch of photo and video recording complexes in these cities will be completed by the summer of 2025.
The equipment recognizes the types of vehicles and their license plate, records speeding, travel to the prohibiting traffic light, crossing the stop line, unfastened belts and talking to drivers on the phone while driving. Thanks to the use of neural network technologies, the devices can be configured to detect other types of violations.
The system of automated recording of traffic violations was launched in the republic 13 years ago. And if in 2012 there were 63 existing photo and video recording complexes in Bashkortostan, then in 2024 the existing complex 1821.
2024: Plan to upgrade traffic light control system
In Ufa, the traffic light control system will be modernized, the systems for monitoring traffic flow parameters, video surveillance and accident detection will be scaled. This will increase safety on the highways, save the streets from traffic jams and help to quickly track the road situation. The work is planned in two stages until 2026 as part of the project for the development of intelligent transport systems (ITS) in the Republic of Bashkortostan. This was announced by the Intelligent Technical Systems of NGOs (NGO ITS) on December 6, 2024.
Traffic lights at the busiest intersections will be upgraded. Digital traffic controllers and video detectors will be installed here. transport Energy-saving LED traffic light sections will be equipped with digital-controlled countdown timers. As a result, employees of the Traffic Management Center (TsUDD) will be able to receive information information about the current phases of the traffic light, traffic flow at various time periods, and forcibly switch the mode of operation of traffic lights. They will also be able to launch the Green Wave and Green Street automatic traffic light control systems for emergency passes for ambulances cars MINISTRY OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS and emergency services.
The video surveillance system, detection of road accidents is planned to be scaled. The number of points of control over the situation on city roads will increase due to the installation of 38 video analytics complexes with 105 color IP video cameras. For more efficient monitoring of transport flow parameters, it is planned to additionally install at least 40 software and hardware radar complexes. Video detectors on traffic light objects process and analyze information on density of transport flows, speed of movement, and then transmit this data to the DPC.
Work on the modernization of ITS Ufa will be carried out by the company "NPO" ITS. " The company became the winner of an open tender, the cost of work under the contract amounted to 400 million rubles.
