EuroChem launches monitoring of the effectiveness of digital tools

2024: Testing a Centralized Technology Development Monitoring System

The number of digital projects in EuroChem is growing, and therefore there is a need for a centralized system for monitoring technological developments. Such a tool is already being launched for NAC "Nitrogen" and "Nevinnomyssky Nitrogen." With convenient schedules, site management can monitor the operation of digital tools and respond quickly to deviations. The company announced this on December 12, 2024.

Monitoring allows you to track the operation of six tools:

  • APC (AGCS - advanced process control systems),
  • FID (basic process control),
  • recommendation systems,
  • ESD (emergency automatic protection)
  • InsEf (a tool for supporting the efficiency of technological processes based on economic indicators).
  • Industrial data aggregator for monitoring - Digital industrial platform (DSP).

The project will allow production directors, shop managers and implementation teams to monitor product metrics. In addition, the system will relieve the load on product teams, they will not have to develop their own separate monitoring solutions. They will have a tool thanks to which specialists can understand how correctly and fully the solution is used.

IT specialists developed a methodology for tracking performance, taking into account the specifics of each class of digital tools, and modeled them for the needs of the company. The system will make it possible to organize PDCA cycles (planning, execution, verification and action), as well as online rating of workshops and plants, in order to keep your hand on the pulse of engageability and efficiency of using solutions.

In July 2024, the Proof of Concept (PoC) stage was completed. For December 2024, the stage of introducing the solution into test operation is underway (MVP is a product with minimal functionality), it will last until 2028. The team plans to commission a functional dashboard for NAC Nitrogen by the end of November 2024, then for Nevinnomyssky Nitrogen.

Managers will receive regular notifications of deviations from the standards for the effectiveness of tools, which will allow them to quickly respond to any changes. In 2025, indicators of industrial Internet of things tools (audio and video analytics) and other digital solutions will be connected to the system, and in the future the project will be implemented at all enterprises of the company.
