2018: Equipping FIFA World Cup 2018 facilities with IT solutions

Access Control System at the facilities of the 2018 World Cup to soccer FIFA , it was intended to identify fans, staff, volunteers and participants in the competition, and provided work in public events.

Servers were chosen as a unified computing platform, the assembly and equipment of which was also carried out in the Russian Federation by AQuarius.

To reduce costs and optimize computing resources, it was decided to deploy application systems in a virtual environment, which made the most of server capabilities. Smart switches and routers were selected as the data network equipment. The software has passed additional checks for the absence of undeclared capabilities. Assembly and equipment was also carried out in the Russian Federation by AQuarius.

As an identification mechanism in the system used, a well-established RFID technology using both stationary and various mobile readers has been proposed in past projects. During the implementation of the system, the company's specialists provided advice on technical issues and participated in the integration of the complex related to the construction of a network and computing infrastructure (both at the physical and logical levels).

The project of the Complex of Technical Means of the Access Control System at the facilities of the FIFA World Cup 2018 won the prestigious Magic People, Value-Added People 2018 award in the nomination "IT project of the year that changed the business."
