2024: Redress Platform Introduction
MIPT In developed a digital platform for designers. clothes The university announced this on December 24, 2024. The proposed technological solution by innovators from MIPT greatly simplifies the process of creating advertising materials. Creators will be able to generate virtual clothing catalogs, as well as create podiums for digital models. The project was named Redress.
Development is a response to the challenges facing the fashion industry. First, significantly speed up the production cycle of clothing items: 3D- modeling systems reduce the time to create and present clothes, eliminating the need for physical samples. Secondly, the use of digital tools to optimize the filming process as much as possible: the use of virtual models and catwalks allows you to reduce the cost of traditional photo shoots and attract models. According to the author of the project, student of FACT MIPT Evgenia Alekseeva, the use of digital tools should significantly democratize the fashion business.
The use of a digital platform will help creators from remote regions who do not have access to professional studios and models to create high-quality advertising materials, "said Evgenia Alekseeva. |
To create an ad creative on a virtual platform, the designer needs to perform several operations. The first step is to upload digital patterns to the platform. These data systems are processed with, computer algorithms transforming patterns into 3D models of clothing. Next, the creator can "try on" dresses, T-shirts and trousers on digital models and "put" them on the virtual podium, adjusting the lighting on the site.
Also, designers will be able to choose the right pose and animation for the model. This feature allows you to create dynamic scenes. After the design is completed, the final product can be exported as an image or video in advertising materials, catalogs or online stores, - said the project developers, students of FACT MIPT Maxim Shevelkin Maxim and Yegor Slivyak. |
The platform will be implemented as a website, the functionality of which the developers plan to supplement with the ability to integrate with popular online stores and advertising agencies. The project team consists of four 4th year students of MIPT: Evgenia Alekseeva, Yegor Slivyak, Maxim Shevelkin and Dmitry Deryugin.
