2024: Production start-up

In early January 2025, it became known about the launch of mass production of sea drones in Sevastopol for cleaning water from garbage. The production is organized on the basis of the interregional scientific and educational center of the world level "Moreagrobiotech," which is headed by Alexey Chuklin.

According to TASS, the devices are already being used in Balaklava Bay. The drone produced, called the "Sea Scorpion," is a catamaran weighing about 60 kg. The device efficiently collects floating plastic, paper and wood. In a working shift of four hours, the device can assemble up to 2 cubic meters. m of debris. The first models were tested in February 2024, after which their delivery to customers began.

According to Alexei Chuklin, the first batch of drones was transferred to the Balaklava yacht marina, where the devices are already actively used. Production processes have been worked out, which allows expanding the production of equipment and entering new markets.

During the modernization, the Sea Scorpion was equipped with video communication to improve navigation, an improved garbage capture system, and additional hull protection. The cost of the device is much lower than its foreign counterparts due to simplified production technologies.

At the first stage, it is planned to expand the use of drones to clean up water areas in other regions of Crimea. A business model is also being developed for the sale and maintenance of devices outside the peninsula. It assumes the possibility of finalizing drones for the needs of customers, their timely maintenance and replacement of components.

The launch of mass production of drones in Crimea was an important step in solving the problem of pollution of water areas. The developers are confident in the high demand for such solutions in the markets of Russia and beyond.[1]
