The Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States (Rossotrudnichestvo) received ₽179 million from the federal budget for the creation of infrastructure for working with confidential documents in Russian cultural missions abroad as part of the Information Security project . This became known on January 21, 2025.

According to CNews, the largest contract under the project for ₽72,4 million was received by K2 Integration to update the ViPNet protected corporate data network.

Clyde has signed a contract for ₽48,9 million to modernize the local computer network of Rossotrudnichestvo. The Rif Research and Production Center received ₽20 million for the development of the Financial Management information system.

The technical support of the means and systems of information protection will be carried out by Legion Pro under a contract for ₽14,7 million. Infogaz Trading House will supply equipment for processing confidential information for ₽3 million.

The project provides for the creation of an infrastructure with cryptographic protection and cross-border communication channels between Russia and foreign missions. Special attention is paid to continuous monitoring and analysis of information security threats.

Rossotrudnichestvo is represented in 71 countries through 81 foreign missions called "Russian House." Since 2020, the organization has been headed by Evgeny Primakov. The agency was established in 2008 to strengthen the cultural influence of Russia in the world, with priority on the CIS countries.

Within the framework of the federal project "Digital Public Administration," the department also oversees the creation of the digital platform "Education in the Russian Federation for Foreigners." It was originally planned to allocate ₽1,3 billion for this initiative, but after 2020 funding amounted to ₽304 million.

The new infrastructure will ensure the safe functioning of all components of the Rossotrudnichestvo information system, including the secure exchange of documents between the central office and foreign missions.[1]
