MTS Web Services (MWS) on January 22, 2025 announced that the KION online cinema has expanded its own IT network with a fast content delivery service - CDN from MTS Web Services. This allowed up to twice the speed of downloading media content for its users, as well as more than three times the bandwidth of its technological network.

In the third quarter of 2024, Kion's audience grew by more than 25% to reach 9.5 million people, and the number of viewing hours per user increased by almost a third.

In order for the increased traffic volume not to slow down the download speed of media content for users, KION decided to increase the bandwidth of its video download channels. MWS was selected to implement the project. The company's specialists connected KION to its own fast content delivery service - CDN. This has more than tripled the bandwidth of online cinema channels and halved the download speed of content for some users.

Our library is regularly replenished - original and licensed films and TV shows become available to users. At the same time, our number of users is actively growing, which leads to an increase in the load on the service. In order for KION users to watch content without delay, we increased the bandwidth of our channels using CDN from MWS.
