CityPoint – GLONASS/ GPS- transport control system designed to increase effective management of the park of vehicles, to cut a consumption of fuel and lubricants and other operating costs, to exclude inappropriate use of transport and also to provide the high level of transport security: reductions of accident rate, safety of loads and safety of drivers and passengers.
In April, 2017 "Citypoint" announced that its development appeared in the register of domestic software. The register was created in 2015 by the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation as protective measure from possible actions of the foreign companies. Main objectives of the project are confirmation of the Russian origin of software and expansion of its use.
Citypoint was founded in 2001 and became one of the first Russian equipment manufacturers and the software for control of transport. The company proposes the solutions as in Russia, and abroad. At fleet management the head can have problems connected with fuel dump, use of the equipment for personal reasons, lack of observance of service regulations and also outages of technology.

The equipment installed in the vehicle collects and transfers information on speed, location, fuel consumption, the place and time of stops, the direction of the movement and also defines style of driving of the driver. The navigation GLONASS/GPS receiver which, using the signals transmitted by navigation satellites with a high accuracy calculates the current coordinates is used to determination of provision of the vehicle.
The aggregated state-of-health data of the vehicle and coordinate are grouped in standard packets. These packets from time to time, either according to the schedule, or on the programmed change of statuses of sensors are transferred to the central server of a system through a cellular network by means of the modem which is built in the GPRS device.
If the vehicle is in freak zone and immediate data transmission is impossible, packets remain in the special volatile drive for immediate transfer after communication recovery. The high-end central server of a system accepts data packets from an aircraft equipment, processes them, saves in the archive database and prepares for use by consumers.
Engine hours
Determination of consumption rate of fuel happens in most the organizations proceeding from the engine hours fulfilled by the equipment. But the problem of accounting of real engine hours is familiar to many heads, the majority of regular counters can be "bypassed" easily and fuel on account of that time when the equipment actually "stood" is as a result written off and the enterprise sustains substantial financial damages.
The CityPoint system provides installation of the special sensors controlling operation of the engine. It is impossible "to deceive" such sensor. As a result the manager or the head from the computer can see in real time all vehicle fleet connected to a System - a route of movement of the equipment with a binding to the card, a status of the engine and really fulfilled engine hours.
Fuel consumption
The CityPoint system allows to obtain real information on the actual fuel consumption the equipment. Fuel is one of main articles of an expense on the maintenance of vehicle fleet.
To onboard to the device fuel level sensors, both regular, and specially set - for obtaining more exact data are connected. All information on gas stations, drainings and fuel consumption is at the permanent disposal of the head or other responsible person. Existence of a control system of fuel allows to increase considerably discipline of drivers as now they will have no opportunity to make frauds with fuel cards, checks or independent draining and sale of fuel.
Depending on the applied technologies and the equipment the accuracy of indications can vary from 1 to 30 percent. CityPoint technologies are allowed to support to eight high-precision sensors for independent control of several tanks. Professionally prizvedenny calibrating of a tank, processor data processing by the onboard controller and also use of digital and frequency fuel level sensors from the leading producers will reduce an error of indications of level of fuel to a minimum.
Sensors of actuators
Control of operation of actuators allows to keep a time recording and to determine amount of completed work. You will precisely know where territorially and what operations were performed using the equipment.
A system considers such parameters as turning on of elevators and manipulators of special equipment, opening of drain valves, operation of cranes and excavators, turning on of pumps, etc.
On the screen of the dispatching computer information on each of working mechanisms is online available. A system also allows to create reports on the set period, for example, the report on the performed work as the specific loader for a working shift.
Satellite/wheel run
The CityPoint system allows to consider, both a wheel, and satellite run. However in the first case, the unfair driver has opportunity for frauds, such as additions of the passable way and "the left runs". Satellite control of motor transport disciplines drivers and reduces costs as shows a real run of machines and a route of their following.
Measuring accuracy of a run depends on accuracy and the frequency of determination of coordinates. To determination of provision of the vehicle we apply the latest components providing the highest accuracy of data:
- GLONASS/GPS module of SN-4706 (CB Navis), positioning accuracy in the differential mode of 2 m, updating of coordinates with a frequency of 1.2 and 5 Hz;
- The GPS module u-Blox LEA-5S, positioning accuracy is 2.5 m, updating of coordinates with a frequency of 4 Hz.
Turnovers and temperature of the engine
Control of operation parameters of the engine allows to prolong considerably life of vehicles and to cut down expenses on maintenance.
Load of axes
Load supervision on an axis of vehicles allows to consider the weight of the transported loads. Thus, you will be able to exclude use of transport for personal reasons of drivers and transportation of unaccounted loads.
Opening/closing of doors
Existence of function of control of opening/closing of doors allows to solve different problems: for cargo carriers - this ensuring safety of the transported loads and, as a result, quality improvement of services; for passenger traffic - this exception of stops of transport in unauthorized places and transportation of "unaccounted" passengers, etc.
