2025: Joining the Labour Productivity Project

The team of the Pine River Country Hotel (LLC Hvoya) has begun primary training in the basics of lean production. Realizing the need to improve work processes, the hotel management decided on the need to participate in the federal project "Labor Productivity." The Agency for Business Development of the Kaluga Region GAU announced this on February 5, 2025.

In 2024, the Labor Productivity project was expanded to the tourism industry. For representatives of the tourism sector, the participation threshold was reduced from 400 million to 180 million rubles. 

The introduction of the principles of lean production will allow the tourist facility to increase the return on investments in infrastructure and service standards, optimize processes, and reduce losses.

The operator of the federal project "Labor Productivity" is the Federal Competence Center. A team of experts from the Regional Competence Center, which operates on the basis of the Kaluga Region Business Development Agency, will undergo training at the Pine River facility, where it will receive practical skills for further work with objects of the tourism industry. "Working at the tourism facility with colleagues from the FCC, who have unique competencies, will allow us to more effectively manage tourism projects in the future, as well as provide expert support to such facilities for the development of the region's tourism potential," said Ivan Shirokov, head of the Kaluga Region RCC.

After the primary training, the team will go through the "Diagnostics and Planning" stage, where the reference area will be determined. After that, under the guidance of the FCC expert, the current state of work processes in the hotel will be digitized. A project office of Pine River employees will then be established within 3 months to implement the changes and replicate the successful experience.

The Pine River Country Hotel is located in the rural settlement of Verkhovye, Zhukovsky District. The houses are built on an area of ​ ​ more than 600 hectares in the middle of a pine forest.
