2025: Centre Launch

in Ministry of Industry and Trade Russia February 2025, it registered a research and production center for unmanned aircraft systems in the Orenburg region. ₽375 million and an additional ₽56 million from regional funds were allocated from the federal budget for its creation.

According to TASS, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak signed an order to assign the corresponding status to the Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems of the Orenburg Region LLC, which was the first legal stage in the creation of the enterprise.

The Governor of the Orenburg Region Denis Pasler noted that production facilities will be launched by the end of 2025. Enterprises of the region plan to establish the production of internal combustion engines, bodies from composite materials, electronic components and flight controllers.

The new production complex is being created within the framework of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems," which started in Russia on January 1, 2024. The program for the development of unmanned aircraft systems in the region was developed and approved by the regional Ministry of Industry and Energy in 2024.

Three enterprises of the Orenburg region became residents of the research and production center. On the basis of the Aerospace Institute of Orenburg State University, a laboratory research complex will operate, providing scientific support for production.

The next stage of the project will be the purchase of specialized equipment for the production of components of unmanned aerial vehicles. The creation of such a center will allow the region to make a significant contribution to the development of domestic unmanned aircraft and ensure technological independence in this sector.[1]
