2025: Arrest on alleged bribe to Deputy Minister of Health
On February 9, 2025, the Industrial District Court of the city of Izhevsk detained Svetlana Suslonov, Director General of the Center for Cosmetology SV LLC. She is accused of transferring a bribe to an official - Deputy Minister of Health of the Udmurt Republic Natalya Kropocheva.
According to the investigation, Kropocheva from January 2021 to August 2024, holding the post of chief physician of the BUZ UR "City Clinical Hospital No. 2 of the Ministry of Health of the UR," and from June 2024 - Deputy Minister of Health of Udmurtia, received bribes totaling 1.3 million rubles. The money came from a ritual agency, while Suslonova acted as an intermediary in the transfer of funds.
Kropocheva, for illegal remuneration, contributed to the conclusion of an agreement for the transportation of the bodies of deceased patients of the BUZ UR "GKB No. 2 of the Ministry of Health of the UR" and the provision of personal information about them. This data was then used to conclude contracts with relatives for the provision of funeral services, which allowed the ritual agency to benefit financially. The crime was revealed as a result of joint actions of employees of the departments of the TFR and the FSB of Russia in Udmurtia.
A criminal case against Suslonova was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - mediation in bribery, committed on an especially large scale. Such acts are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years with a fine of up to 70 times the amount of a bribe or without it and with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to seven years or without it. By a court decision, the woman was arrested. It is noted that the accused and her defenders objected to the satisfaction of the investigator's petition, asked to choose a preventive measure not related to isolation from society.[1]
