The initial cost of the contract for the creation of IT infrastructure in educational institutions of Dagestan amounted to ₽1,4 billion. The Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic announced an electronic auction in February 2025. The work is planned in 1834 schools in the region, where safe access to state information systems and the Internet will be provided.
The electronic auction was placed on January 30, 2025, and the acceptance of applications will last until February 17, 2025. The project will be financed at the expense of the federal and republican budgets.
As part of the modernization of the IT infrastructure, it is planned to install various telecommunication equipment: specialized cabinets, switches, access points and video surveillance cameras. The bulk of the work will be carried out in educational institutions located in small villages and villages of the republic.
The large-scale digitalization of Dagestan schools is part of a broader program to develop telecommunications infrastructure in the region. Within the framework of the project "Elimination of digital inequality" by 2030, high-speed mobile Internet should become available to residents of 492 small settlements of the republic.
The implementation of this project will significantly improve the quality of the educational process in schools in Dagestan by introducing modern digital technologies and ensuring reliable access to educational resources. The infrastructure being created will ensure the safe connection of educational institutions to state, municipal and other information systems.
The terms of reference for the state contract describe in detail the requirements for the equipment to be installed and lists all educational institutions where work will be carried out to modernize the IT infrastructure.
