On February 20, 2025, Oppo announced the Find N5 smartphone - said to be the world's thinnest device with a foldable display. Its thickness when folded is 8.93 mm, in the disclosed state - 4.21 mm.
The novelty is made in the form factor of the book. On the outside is a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2616 × 1140 pixels and a peak brightness of 2450 nits. The internal flexible display is 8.12 inches diagonally, has a resolution of 2480 × 2248 pixels and a peak brightness of 2100 nits. Both panels provide 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and have a 120Hz refresh rate. 1.07 billion colors can be displayed.
The smartphone uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with a clock speed of up to 4.32 GHz, which includes an Adreno 830 graphics accelerator with a frequency of up to 1100 MHz. The amount of LPDDR5X RAM is 16 GB, the capacity of the UFS 4.0 flash drive is 512 GB. There are Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth 5.4 Low Energy wireless adapters, NFC controller, USB Type-C port (USB 3.1 Gen 2).
The triple rear camera combines a 50-megapixel wide-angle module with optical stabilization, a 50-megapixel telephoto unit, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle component. In the area of each of the displays there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Power is supplied by a 5,600 mA·ch battery with support for 80-watt SuperVOOC fast charging.
The Oppo Find N5 smartphone is equipped with the ColorOS 15.0.1 operating system. (built on Android) User identification by fingerprint and face image is supported. Moisture/dust protection according to IPX6/IPX8/IPX9 standards and a Dual SIM (nano + eSIM) system are mentioned. The device is offered in Misty White (white) and Cosmic Black (black) colors[1]
