I work in this sphere 22 years. Studying at institute, began to work as the programmer (in the trading company, and then in large bank) then passed to a position of the system administrator and at last became the head of IT department in the large trading company of Yekaterinburg. In parallel I was engaged in implementation of end-to-end systems of automation, in particular accounting systems of BEST-4 and 1C. To Avtoplus company I came in the 2003rd to a position of the head of IT department who was transformed afterwards to department. And since 2009 I am a director of information technology in management company Avtoplus Group.
From my point of view, IT play very large role in the field of a car business, and it only increases every year. Today automation gets into all corners of activity of the enterprise as service of the modern car is impossible without use of such computer technologies as diagnostic system and remote connection, the specialized databases storing all information on the car device, on required spare parts and necessary works.
Other aspect of use of IT is connected with convenience of work of front office managers at customer service. Therefore the key task facing IT service is in providing to managers the most convenient searching tools and information processing.
For implementation of these tasks in the company effective IT infrastructure should be constructed, and over it a powerful and flexible ERP system should work. At the same time it is very important that all information resources of the autoenterprise were united in one system available to all managers. Not do as well without corporate system of electronic document management.
If to me suggested to implement from scratch the ERP system now at there is nobody other car dealer, I without hesitation would select the product '1C: Alpha-Auto' as most conforming to the Russian requirements — for it and it is easier to find specialists, and investments it is required less.
