Alexander Ilyin was appointed the new general director of LLC Amurstal"" - the only Russia metallurgical plant in the Far East. The corresponding changes were made to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on March 7, 2025.
According to Interfax, Ilyin, who previously held the post of Deputy General Director for Security, replaced Grigory Freidin, who had been in charge of the enterprise since March 2020. The management of the company refrains from commenting on the personnel changes that have occurred. Information about the new place of work of the former general director in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities is not indicated.
Amurstal is a large industrial complex in the Khabarovsk Territory with a rich history. The company went through a difficult period when bankruptcy proceedings were introduced at the plant, which was then called Amurmetal, in October 2013. The situation changed in January 2017, when the Torex group acquired the company's property at auction and launched production in the summer of that year. In 2020, the plant returned the historical name - "Amurstal."
The company includes electric furnace and grade rolling shops, mechanical repair, railway, motor transport, oxygen-gas, power and electric repair shops, as well as a scrap processing workshop and other production divisions.
The main products of the plant include steel for reinforcing reinforced concrete structures, corner and round rolled products, wire rod, wire and long products. The capacity of the electric furnace shop exceeds 1 million tons of metal per year, and the capacity of the rolling mill shop is 500 thousand tons per year.[1]
