InStock WMS manages the warehouse of Muztorg, a supplier of musical instruments. InStock announced this on March 12, 2025.

The peculiarity of the project was the presence of a large assortment and active work with marketplaces. This project required using InStock WMS to organize accurate accounting of all products in the warehouse, optimize placement and storage, speed up the processes of error-free selection and shipment, organize registration by serial numbers of products, speed up the processes of commodity processing for marketplaces on FBS and FBO.

InStock Technologies specialists studied the warehouse business processes. Based on the data, solutions for the tasks were proposed, a technical task was developed, which took into account all the nuances of commodity movement, Marketplaces requirements and nuances of processing and accounting for different goods.

To optimize the selection and placement processes, the warehouse is divided into zones and subzones. All goods are divided into 8 subgroups. Each group of goods is placed, and then processed according to its own rules, which are spelled out in WMS. In this project, batch accounting had to be organized for serial number accounting. In the project, goods can come from the supplier, vendor, various types of returns, including from marketplaces, storage, cross-docking schemes are also used for moving from the acceptance area to the shipment area - InStock WMS takes into account all differences in acceptance depending on receipts.

In the project, the main method of acceptance is the method - Acceptance with sorting by transport. Methods are also used: Ordinary acceptance with sorting, acceptance in the assortment. The system contains rules for sorting goods of different groups and rules for placing goods of different groups.

To optimize product processing, all orders are broken down by type. There are more than 20 order types in this project. Orders from the accounting system are uploaded to the WMS. The operator places orders in the selection, combining them into a wave by filters. The main characteristic for the combination is the order type and the consignee.

After placing orders in the selection, the System breaks each order for the selection tasks into zones. Orders in one area will be broken down taking into account the limitations of issuing assignments to one selector - the volume of boxes on the trolley is taken into account and the restrictions on the number of InStock items WMS plans optimal routes for the selectors. Special attention was paid in the project to the processing of goods for marketplaces. The project uses a total selection for one-piece orders and a cluster selection for other orders. The selection of goods for marketplaces has its own characteristics and differs from the usual selection.

Warehouse control is very important for shipping accuracy. Control under the control of InStock WMS can be carried out in several ways, during control, goods for marketplaces are packed in accordance with the requirements of each marketplace and the necessary labels are pasted.

With InStock WMS, a regular inventory has been established, which can be carried out both manually and automatically and launched at regular intervals for specific zones, cells, goods.

As a result of InStock WMS implementation in Muztorg warehouse accurate accounting of projection is established, selection errors are minimized. Strict control has been established before the shipment of goods, registration of serial numbers has been organized, clear work has been organized on working with marketplaces, taking into account the requirements of each Internet site.
