2025: Completion of ITS implementation phase

The next stage of the introduction of intelligent transport systems has ended in Bryansk. "Smart" equipment for traffic control and management within the framework of the national project "Safe Quality Roads" was installed by the company "NPO" ITS, "which announced this on March 11, 2025.

In the Bryansk urban agglomeration in 2023-2024, traffic lights were modernized - 22 digital controllers were mounted on them. Thanks to the flexible configuration of this equipment, it is possible to increase the throughput on highways and make traffic more comfortable. In addition, the agglomeration received a weather station that collects, processes and stores meteorological data, and 85 transport detectors, including the SPIDER Traffic video detectors.

"SPIDER Traffic" works on the basis of neural network technologies using machine vision technologies. The device determines the parameters of the transport flow, direction and speed of movement, recognizes up to 13 types of vehicles, including special equipment.

All equipment is integrated with a single digital platform and its modules for collecting and analyzing data received, including on adverse weather conditions and ice, in real time. Information is transmitted to the situation center for traffic control and control.

The situation center, as well as data centers for storing and processing data from detectors and weather stations, were created with the participation of NPO ITS. The equipment was installed by order of the Department of Industry, Transport and Communications of the Bryansk Region and the GAU "Center for Geoinformation Technologies of the Bryansk Region."
