2025: Completion of Ideco NGFW 17 transition
Vyatka State University has completed the migration of its information infrastructure from the foreign firewall Check Point to the domestic Ideco NGFW solution. Ideco (Aydeko) announced this on March 20, 2025.
VyatSU made the transition to Ideco NGFW to meet the requirements of 152-FZ and 187-FZ, the FSTEC standards. The main objectives were seamless migration while maintaining existing security rules, selecting a LACP and Active-Passive cluster-enabled solution, and integrating with existing infrastructure at no additional cost.
The decision-making process began in the fourth quarter of 2022. After rigorous testing in 2023, the university opted for Ideco NGFW thanks to the ability to migrate all firewall rules, high-quality technical support and flexibility in next-generation firewall settings.
The software is liked by the fact that there is a full-fledged Linux console, which allows it to be conveniently administered. Technical support quickly helps and sends to the necessary vectors of our technical specialists, which allows you to resolve issues yourself in the future, - said the representative of VyatSU. |
The migration to Ideco NGFW was an important step for Vyatka State University. Full migration of firewall rules with Check Point without loss of functionality, compliance with FSTEC requirements and optimization of administration processes are just some of the achievements. We were able not only to fulfill the requirements of import substitution, but also to significantly improve the IT security management of the university. A full-fledged Linux console and good technical support allowed us to quickly solve emerging problems and adapt to new customer requirements , "said Dmitry Khomutov, director of Ideco. |
Implementation results include a complete transition from a foreign solution to Ideco NGFW of all firewall rules without loss of functionality, compliance with FSTEC requirements and optimization of administration processes. This also reduced maintenance costs by using standard equipment.
In addition, VyatSU initiated negotiations on the acquisition of a certified Ideco UTM FSTEC solution, which confirms confidence in Ideco's products and plans for further infrastructure development and cooperation between organizations.
