After raising 500 million rubles through bonds, Ideco marks IPO, mergers and acquisitions
Russian developer of solutions in the field of network security Ideco is considering the possibility of entering an IPO in the future of the next few years. Representatives of the company told reporters about this on September 24 at a press conference dedicated to the release of the next generation NGFW Ideco - Ideco NGFW Novum.
A little earlier, in September, Ideco had already entered the bond market: "This is a big step that could be one of the steps in the strategy of entering the IPO in the future," said Ideco director Dmitry Khomutov, adding that we are talking about a period of about 3-4 years.
Entering the IPO would allow Ideco to become a "big company," engage in mergers and acquisitions of other players, as well as further develop its security solutions, he added.
Ideco's revenue in 2024 showed an increase of 90% and amounted to 1.16 billion rubles. According to the results of 2025, the company also expects a dynamic increase in turnover. At the same time, the company has already raised 500 million rubles through bonds as of the end of September. This money is needed to invest even more in development, the head of Ideco explained. The anchor investor was SME Bank, a subsidiary of SME Corporation.
In a conversation with TAdviser, Dmitry Khomutov noted that in terms of potential acquisitions in the future, companies could be interested, for example, startups in the field of protecting end workstations, databases, OS, data centers, virtualization systems, etc. That is, we are talking about the developers of such information security products that would help implement what the Hybrid Mesh architecture allows: when NGFW can stretch its "tentacles" into different information systems.
At the same time, the time-to-market parameter is extremely important for Ideco, so in terms of acquisitions, it would rather look at startups with a product of a rather high degree of maturity that does not require long-term refinement.
The main bet on the near future of the company makes on its new solution Ideco NGFW Novum, in the development of which by the time of its official presentation, according to Ideco, more than 2 billion rubles have already been invested.
According to the developers, Ideco NGFW Novum is built "on innovative technologies used by the world's leading NGFW manufacturers for large corporate networks." The solution runs on its own network stack using DPDK and VPP technologies, which provide direct access to network cards with minimal delays and speed up packet processing on multi-core systems. The claimed performance of a firewall with its own proxy server, signatures and DPI is up to 200 Gbps with the ability to process up to 1 million TCP sessions per second. And a firewall with its own rule compiler is said to handle traffic with 100,000 rules for 500,000 users and security groups.
The new solution was created to replace the Ideco NGFW product, which the vendor has been selling for several years. With the advent of Ideco NGFW Novum, the company enters the large enterprise customer segment, where there are already a number of well-known large competitors, including Positive Technologies, UserGate, Security Code, etc.
Ideco approached the development of a more advanced and productive solution as customers increasingly applied its Ideco NGFW solution. And in 2022, the creation of a new product turned out to be even more relevant due to the departure from Russia of manufacturers of popular foreign NGFWs.
In the near future, demand for domestic NGFW can be expected to grow on the Russian market. Among the growth points are the continuation of import substitution and the need to replace previously established solutions. Foreign solutions, including products from Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, are still widely used in Russian companies. Although many customers are obliged to switch to domestic counterparts in accordance with state regulations, in fact there are not many who have already done this, especially among the largest, Ideco states. One of the key reasons is that it is technologically difficult to do this: Russian solutions for performance and integration with IT infrastructure do not yet reach imported competitors.
Ideco notes that Russian customers were waiting for the "Russian Palo Alto," but it never appeared. However, by 2025, domestic solutions of interest to customers landed on the market. And now those who, back in 2022, immediately after the departure of Western "respected partners" from Russia, tried to introduce domestic alternatives, are ready to reconsider their choice in favor of other solutions that appeared or "finished" later. About this, for example, in September , at one of the industry conferences , a representative of Sber Tech spoke.
According to the InfoWatch network security study, published in September 2025, sales of new generation firewalls in Russia account for up to 58% of all sales of network security solutions. Similar figure in the world is up to 40%[1] are[2]. As TAdviser was told in Ideco, in addition to the further development of its product, the company is also interested in developing the portfolio of services provided. So, already now it provides its customers who have a request for this with information security consulting services that go beyond the implementation and integration of NGFW. We are talking, among other things, about consulting in the development of information security strategies.
One of the options considered in Ideco for the future is the launch of the service direction. SOC Some of Ideco's largest competitor vendors are already following this path. For example, UserGate, which launched the direction of information security services, including SOC services, in 2024.
Along with the announcement of the new solution and plans at a press conference, Ideco also unveiled for the first time a rebranding that includes the company's new logo. In a major industry chat on NGFW on Telegram, participants immediately discussed it, putting forward different versions, which reminds them of the new Ideco logo. To someone, for example, he reminded the head of a red panda, and to someone even the logo of one of the competing products - PT NGFW.
Offering of debut bond issue
On September 2, 2025, Ideco announced that it had placed its first issue of BO-01 series exchange-traded bonds in the amount of 500 million rubles. The organizer of the placement was the Finam financial group, and the anchor investor was SME Bank, a subsidiary of SME Corporation, which acquired 25 thousand securities. In total, 4,684 applications were received as part of the placement, which, according to Ideco, confirms the high interest of investors in domestic IT companies.
The attracted investments will be aimed at developing and promoting the key product of Ideco - Ideco NGFW, the next generation firewall.

TAdviser interview with director Dmitry Khomutov
Until recently, a significant share in the segment of new generation firewalls, or NGFW, of the Russian information security market was occupied by global suppliers, their solutions were preferred by large customers. Since last spring, domestic manufacturers of such solutions have had the opportunity to take their place. How do they use it? What barriers are faced? In what directions do they develop the functionality of their solutions. We discussed these and some other issues with Dmitry Khomutov, director of Ideco. Read more here.
