Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler 3.0

Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler 3.0 is the new version of tools of data modeling for relational DBMS. From now on software supports joint development due to integration with the system of versionny control into the open code Subversion.

The tool is integrated with the Oracle SQL Developer development environment. With its help it is possible to execute logical multidimensional modeling of data for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2 DBMS (despite support of different DBMS, the license for Oracle DBMS is necessary for receiving tools). Thanks to support of Subversion group work on model with change tracking, entered by each developer is possible. Further implementation of support and other systems of versionny control is not excluded.

In Data Modeler 3.0 the mechanism of the rules of design of models determined by the user appeared. Reporting system which allows to publish models in the repository polled using standard SQL queries is implemented. Import of models from other data modelers is supported.

2014: Oracle SQL Developer 4.0

On December 12, 2013 the Oracle corporation announced release of the new version of integrated development environment of Oracle SQL Developer 4.0 with additional functions of simplification of development and management of Oracle Database. Supporting innovations in Oracle Database 12c, including architecture of multiple lease and technology of masking of data, Oracle SQL Developer 4.0 helps developers and database managers to increase efficiency and performance.

Main changes

The new version of Oracle SQL Developer 4.0 supports Oracle Database 12c and helps to increase performance for a broad spectrum of problems of application development for the database.
