2023: Porting IT Solution to Local Infrastructure

BearingPoint has successfully completed an IT migration project of more than 10 systems, creating a fully autonomous system and ensuring business continuity.

The Arnest Group acquired Russian plants from Ball, and it faced the task of separating the Russian part of the business from the global IT landscape and transferring IT solutions to the local infrastructure. This meant that more than 10 related systems, including ERP, MES, WMS and others, had to be moved under severe restrictions. The BearingPoint team was ready to perform this complex set of tasks.

By the beginning of the project, all the expertise was on the side of the global IT service, and since knowledge transfer was not carried out, the team had to restore a holistic picture of the work of IT solutions from scratch. In a short time, they conducted a survey of all processes, described from scratch a bundle of systems, integration flows and the interaction of departments, and also designed a process model up to level 4 with IT coverage and a detailed IT architecture.

The team then deployed ERP and infrastructure, conducted testing, developed a transition plan, adapted and launched business applications, and established user support. Within the framework of the project, the entire range of processes of the company's operations financial and activities was covered: finance, procurement, management, warehouses production,, transport logistics commercial implementation and reporting.

The transfer of the solution took place in conditions of limited communication with the global team and limited access to information. The project features include a high level of customization and complexity of the solution (about 10 integrated systems) and the lack of local IT expertise and documentation from the client.

The system was started without stopping production and with minimal delay in shipments. Critical operations were launched a day later, and non-critical operations were launched on the third day after the system was launched.

As a result, the entire infrastructure was deployed and a completely autonomous system was created, which the client can develop independently.

The project was implemented between January 2023 and June 1, 2023.
