2025: Launch of a new aluminum can plant in Ulyanovsk

In December 2025, a new plant for the production of aluminum cans at the Arnest Packaging Solutions plant took place in Ulyanovsk. The event was held with the participation of the leadership of the region and sectoral ministries.

The production capacity of the line is 1 billion cans per year. Its launch was the final stage of the investment project for the expansion of the enterprise, which also included the construction of a finished product warehouse with an area of ​ ​ 25 thousand square meters. The total funding for this stage of modernization reached 8.4 billion rubles.

The Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexei Russkikh indicated that as a result of the project, the number of employees at the plant exceeded 230 people. According to Vedomosti, after the new line reaches its targets, the total annual capacity of the enterprise for the production of aluminum containers will be over 2.5 billion units.

The President of the Group of Companies Alexey Sagal noted the importance of the Ulyanovsk site, which has a developed infrastructure. Reporter 73 adds that its proximity to key customers, including large beverage production in the region, optimizes logistics processes.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mikhail Yurin emphasized the complex effect of the project for the economy. According to him, the implementation of the initiative contributes to the development of the food industry, metallurgy and processing of domestic aluminum, creating a product with a high additional value.

The total investment in the creation and phased expansion of the plant in Ulyanovsk, according to Vedomosti, exceeded 22 billion rubles. Earlier, in July 2024, company representatives announced plans to launch a fourth line in 2026, subject to steady market demand. According to the general director of the company, Alexander Isaev, this could potentially increase the total output by another 1.5 billion cans.[1]
