STEP LOGIC has introduced an firewall system from the Russian information security manufacturer Security Code at significant network infrastructure facilities of the Samara Network Company. The project ensured the protection of the network infrastructure, filtering of web traffic and control of user access. Step Logic announced this on April 10, 2025.

As part of the project, a team of STEP LOGIC and Samara Network Company specialists installed and commissioned the equipment, as well as configured the software.

To fulfill the requirements of PD protection, STEP LOGIC specialists have implemented CUES an firewall system at the facilities of the Samara Network Company through. APKSh "Continent. Version 3.9 " KPKSH "Continent" provided protection and control of user and device activity, as well as secure remote access for employees to the corporate network.

The integrator optimized the existing architecture of the company's branch network and created a comprehensive information security system for ZOKII on this basis. More than 25 sites were connected to the project, which are located throughout the region. In this case, communication with the center in Samara takes place via a secure channel. In remote branches with a staff of one or two employees, where it is impractical to install the equipment of the Continent Emergency Response System. Version 3.9, "implemented the application" Continent AP, "which allows you to connect individual workplaces. When creating a comprehensive information security system for ZOKII, other Security Code products were also used - a Secret Net unauthorized access protection tool and a Sable trusted download hardware and software module.

STEP LOGIC specialists organized a secure connection of remote units using the "Continent" ACS. Version 3.9, "which made it possible to use the built infrastructure for secure access to the corporate network. The system blocks and neutralizes information security threats, the implementation of which may lead to the termination or disruption of the functioning of a significant object of the power system. This allowed the customer to fulfill the requirements of the Federal Law on the security of critical information infrastructure.

The main objective of the project was to ensure safe access for employees from remote offices of the energy company to the corporate network. This solution has great potential for expansion and allows you to further develop the system in such a way that all Internet traffic from local offices is routed to the central site and "pass" it through a special attack detector. It will monitor the security of the connection and use a single Internet access through the central site, as well as expand the collection of events for security analysis.
