2025: Arrest on terrorism charges

In mid-April 2025, in Moscow, Yandex Lavka employee Salokhiddin Nasidirov was arrested on charges of preparing to join a terrorist organization. Together with him, Akhat Tolibdzhonovich Eshmurzaev, a cook at the Uryuk LLC restaurant, was detained on a similar charge.

According to TASS, both accused were initially detained by police during raids to identify violators of migration legislation. By a court decision, they were assigned expulsion to one of the republics of Central Asia. However, before executing the decision, law enforcement agencies checked the contents of the detainees' smartphones.

As a result of the phone check, signs of preparation for joining a terrorist organization were found. Based on the materials found, both citizens were charged under Part 1 of Article 30 and Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of Russia (preparation for joining an organization that, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is recognized as terrorist).

After the indictment, the court changed the measure of restraint for the detainees. They were transferred from a temporary detention center for foreign citizens to a pre-trial detention center. The case has been sent to the court for further consideration.

According to the case file, Salokhiddin Nasidirov worked as a storekeeper at Yandex Lavka, was not married. Akhat Eshmurzaev has a secondary education, is also single, worked as a cook at the Uryuk restaurant^[1]
