2025: NCC founder and former top manager of Lanita invested in nuclear power controllers
In mid-April 2025, it became known that the founder of the National Computer Corporation (NCC) Alexander Kalinin invested in the creation of industrial controllers for nuclear and non-nuclear power facilities . Sergey Belkin, former vice president of LANIT, also participates in the project .
According to CNews, referring to Kalinin's statements, controllers are planned to be used to build distributed systems. The products are designed for round-the-clock operation in unattended mode for collection and initial processing of data coming from sensors of the control object. In addition, such controllers will serve to provide control commands to the actuators.
The project bought an unnamed industrial enterprise in Penza. According to Kalinin, the company will not produce the board itself - it will be engaged in the "assembly and configuration" of devices. Belkin added that the company can be profitable when producing from 100 thousand products per year.
Businessmen do not disclose investments in the project. Within the framework of the initiative, CR LLC was formed with an authorized capital of 100 thousand rubles. About 70 types of activities are registered for the organization, and the main ones are scientific research and development in the field of natural and technical sciences. The CEO of the company is Sergey Zemskov.
The author of the Telegram channel RUSmicro Aleksei Boyko notes that 100 thousand controllers per year is a very large volume. With the cost of such a middle-class device of 100-200 thousand rubles, we are talking about revenue of 10-20 billion rubles. That is, as Boyko emphasizes, the formed company claims "to occupy a double-digit share of the Russian market for programmable logistics controllers."[1]
