Russian e-commerce platform Ozon automated FP&A processes with Optimacros

2025: Optimacros System Implementation

The Russian the site e-commerce Ozon has implemented a domestic system Optimacros to automate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tasks. The contractor for the project was a company OptiTeam Consulting that announced this on May 16, 2025.

The need for this software arose due to the need to further develop the corporate planning methodology. Optimacros was selected according to the following parameters: it is included in the register of Russian software, allows you to store data on the customer's server (on-premium) and has great opportunities for building management accounting.

The project team was tasked with preserving and improving the methodology of basic systems and data sources, and developing new models. It was also important for the client to implement the system in a short time. 4 months after the start of the project, Ozon received the first two models of financial statements implemented.

OptiTeam Consulting has transferred some of the planning and forecasting processes to Optimacros. A driver model has been implemented that simplifies and accelerates the cost planning process and allows you to see all the integrations and their results. Actual reporting is implemented at the level of individual logistics facilities.

To easily and quickly analyze the necessary information, we set up integrations with other models for collecting actual data and forecasts, and consolidated the data in a single space. The solution made it possible to generate reports, analyze actual indicators and model possible scenarios for operational management.

The high level of professionalism and involvement of the customer team allowed us to create a solution that meets the needs and processes of the company. While the scale of the tasks presented a challenge to us, they also became an inspiration. For May 2025, the joint project team continues to develop the corporate planning methodology, develops new models, improves algorithms, expands functionality, and works to improve the user experience.
