The Tractor Plants concern cut down expenses on business trips and increased efficiency of decision making

The technology Cisco TelePresence group together with system integrator JSC ICL-KPO VS constructed for Russian machine-building "Tractor Plants concern the system of a video conferencing (VIDEOCONFERENCING) which integrated 22 remote branches of the company. As a result all branches of concern are brought together in a common information space with a possibility of the organization of video conference. Due to considerable decrease in number of business trips expenses were cut down, and thanks to increase in efficiency of decision making the income of machine-building group increased.

Having made the decision on transition to a new type of an operative communication, the management "Tractor Plants concern pursued the aim to increase efficiency of interaction between employees in real time due to visual communication with interlocutors. A choice for benefit of Tandberg "Tractor Plants" video technologies was made after demonstration of systems capabilities of VKS using the equipment of the technology Cisco TelePresence group.

According to requirements of the customer specialists of JSC ICL-KPO VS provided with video conference 22 branches of Tractor Plants. The VKS system "Tractor Plants concern consists of the device of the multipoint Tandberg MCU 4215 conference, the server of the record Tandberg Content Server, the server of centralized operation Tandberg Management Suite and 22 Tandberg 770MXP video terminals. Service of centralized operation by the VKS system allows to configure far off all terminals, being in the central office and also to plan the schedule of video conferences. Function of record of video conferences allows to distribute more effectively working time of employees, providing access to records on demand.

During formation for the organization of communications the concern used the system of audioconference communication, however this technology complicated holding meetings due to the lack of visual contact and impossibility of exchange of illustrative applications. In turn, it affected efficiency and accuracy of the made decisions. Today "The Tractor Plants concern is aimed at upgrade and the solution of major problems on technical and technology retrofitting what requires closer interaction of all divisions.
