2025: "Cargo Shell" Rover Performance
The Dronshab Group company brought to the Russian market a transport rover for the delivery of prefabricated goods with a total weight of up to 150 kg in autonomous mode and at several addresses per flight. The rover is equipped with voice control and separated independent cargo compartments, which also protect the contents when unloaded from precipitation. This was announced on May 22, 2025 in the company.
The Cargo Shell rover is planned to be used for the delivery of parcels in cities, the transportation of goods in warehouses, enterprises, tourist parks, construction sites, as well as in the interests of transport companies. The robotic platform is equipped with all-wheel drive for high cross-country ability, is not afraid of road irregularities and various precipitation. The maximum speed of the rover is 15 km/h, the operating time on a single charge is up to 24 hours. Delivery order, route assignment, autonomous and remote control of the rover takes place through an interface in a mobile application or an automated operator's workplace, where the video stream from the camera, routes, work tasks and all telemetry are transmitted.
| The main feature of this model is that it is excellent for delivering prefabricated cargo between several points in any weather. Separate compartments can be used for delivery from different senders and to different recipients within the same flight, which reduces the fleet of rovers necessary for operation and allows you to optimize delivery costs, and the lid-wings of cargo compartments that open up and sideways also protect the cargo from precipitation. In addition, this model is the first to implement a voice assistant, which is necessary for communicating with the rover and simply setting routes, "said Maxim Tomskikh, General Director of Dronshab Group. |
In the near future, the rover will begin to be used on the territory of the Kaluga park-hotel "Pine River" for the delivery of equipment, food and inventory between hotel houses, on the territory of over 600 hectares.
| We at Pine River have always strived to ensure that technology supports our basic principle - careful relations with nature. We have a large, extensive territory, in places up to 7 kilometers in a straight line. Locations are built into the natural scale, and we deliberately avoid urbanization: we do not build roads, we do not drive heavy equipment. Therefore, the appearance of delivery rovers was a logical decision for us. The Rover is not just a substitute for the courier. It helps us to solve several tasks at once: it reduces the burden on personnel, minimizes the human factor, provides silent and environmental logistics between locations. He moves along forest paths, works 24/7, does not make noise, does not smell of gasoline, does not get out of the atmosphere. At the same time, it calmly carries up to 150 kg of cargo: from firewood and coal to linen, consumables and spare parts. It has two compartments - for example, in one clean laundry, in the other - dirty. He travels between the central and local hubs, where all goods come: food, water, inventory. Each zone has its own service point, where maids and technical staff can submit an application and receive the necessary things. Or return what needs to be disposed of or replaced. In fact, the delivery rover is a quiet and compact assistant that fits into our way of life. It helps us to preserve the main thing - the natural integrity of the territory and comfort for guests who come to us not for urban convenience, but for silence, fresh forest air and the opportunity to relax, - said the founder of Pine River Boris Nazarov. |
