2025: Batch metering of bottled water in warehouses
Solvo has completed a project to upgrade the warehouse management system at PepsiCo. Labeling codes are now taken into account for all warehousing operations, which ensures end-to-end traceability of the packaged water from the manufacturer to the buyer. This requirement became mandatory for this commodity group from March 1, 2025. Solvo announced this on May 27, 2025.
More than 20 years ago, the Solvo WMS solution was implemented at enterprises that later became part of PepsiCo, and then was scaled to other warehouse sites of the company. The system keeps records of warehouse operations for all types of the company's products: dairy products, carbonated drinks, water, juices, children's food and snacks, and is also flexible to work in warehouses of different sizes and purposes. Since 2024, an adapted version of Solvo.WMS has been deployed at PepsiCo sites in preparation for the launch of the sample water traceability.
