Nigeria, Zimbabwe Join A7 Platform for Quick Payment of Exports and Imports
and Nigeria Zimbabwe joined the Russian international financial platform A7 to make settlements on export-import operations. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs RUSSIAN FEDERATION Sergei Lavrov at the plenary meeting of the ministerial conference of the Partnership Forum Russia -, Africa held on December 19-20, 2025 in Cairo.
The Foreign Minister Russia presented the A7 platform, launched in 2024, as an effective tool for conducting foreign trade payments. The system allows Russian companies to pay contracts with partners in any country and in any currency. Sergei Lavrov invited all African partners of Russia to join the project.
In his speech, the minister stressed the importance of developing settlements in national currencies. He said that the share of the Russian ruble in mutual trade in January-October 2025 reached 84%, which significantly exceeds last year's figures.
An additional incentive for the growth of cooperation, according to Sergei Lavrov, may be the establishment of direct ties between the central banks of Russia and African states.
The foreign minister reiterated Russia's position on the need for fairer representation of African countries in key international institutions, including the UN Security Council, and declared support for reform of the global financial system.
Sergei Lavrov noted the increase in the number of bilateral intergovernmental commissions on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation with African countries. Their number has reached 19, and in the near future it is planned to create 13 more commissions.
The Minister called on the parties to promptly implement the agreements reached, continue work to eliminate trade barriers and strengthen the legal framework in the areas of taxation, investment protection and customs regulation.[1]
Making money transfers for business between Russia and China, which reach 100 minutes
In mid-December 2025, the platform of cross-border payments A7, created by PSB Bank, announced the implementation of a money transfer from Russia to China in 1 hour 40 minutes. These payment transactions usually take one to several business days.
In typical conditions for international money transfers, it is necessary up to several days. Time is increased if the transaction is carried out through bank correspondent networks: this is associated with different stages of transaction processing. According to A7, the technology used by the platform allows you to significantly speed up the process of crediting funds to the recipient, while ensuring full control and transparency of payments. The average speed offered by the A7 system in international translations is four hours.

The A7 platform provides payment services for foreign trade contracts around the world. In the established geopolitical situation, the system helps Russian exporters and importers to make settlements with foreign partners in a timely and uninterrupted manner. The company offers a commission of 0.3% + VAT for international operations. For comparison, Russian banks can charge fees in the range of 2-2.5% and higher, depending on the method and currency of transfer. It is noted that the A7 carries out more than 2,000 operations around the world every day. To improve the quality and speed of service, the company, as stated on its website, is introducing advanced technological solutions.[2]
Creation of a company for cross-border settlements Rosvexel
The platform A7 (created by PSB Bank Ministry of Finance Russia) and established a company for the issue of bills of exchange and digital financial instruments for participants in foreign economic activity "Rosveksel." Purchase of Ars Invest
The platform for cross-border A7 transfers, which was created with the participation of PSB Bank|PSB Bank, acquired a 100% stake in Ars Invest, which has brokerage, dealer and depository licenses. The corresponding entry in August 2025 is displayed in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL). Purchase from PSB of a business center in the west of Moscow
At the end of May 2025, it became known that A7, co-owned by Moldovan businessman Ilan Shor, acquired a large office complex on Berezhkovskaya embankment in Moscow from Promsvyazbank. The transaction was completed on April 28, 2025, follows from the statement of Rosreestr. Read more here
