2025: Adaptation for Aurora OS

2GIS has adapted his Flutter SDK solution for the Russian Aurora OS. All the capabilities of the service - from realistic 3D maps, navigation and route-building to object search and offline mode - are now available on smartphones and tablets based on the domestic operating system. This was announced by 2GIS on May 30, 2025.

2GIS 's Flutter SDK is a solution that speeds up the development of mobile geoservices and provides a single user experience on all devices. The product allows you to visualize the map, receive up-to-date information about objects, use navigation, lay routes and much more.

The updated version of the product expands the possibilities of using the 2GIS geoservice in mobile solutions, transport control systems, delivery services, travel applications, as well as in highly specialized tasks, for example, for coordinating field teams and specialists at facilities. The adapted version of the Flutter SDK is fully comparable in functionality to the 2GIS solution for iOS and Android.

The solution from 2GIS will also be used in the Open Mobile Platform series of hardware and software systems (PAC) to implement tasks with increased requirements for functionality, accuracy and convenience of geo-positioning. It will find application in servicing distributed technological facilities in industries such as mining, power, telecommunications, chemical industry, housing and communal services, logistics and retail. The technology will also support the organization of mobile workplaces for employees, including specialized ones in logistics and retail.

2GIS became the first developer on the market to discover the possibility of using realistic 3D maps, full-fledged navigation and routing on devices running the domestic Aurora OS. This allows business and the public sector to receive a geoservice that meets high requirements for functionality and accuracy.
