2025: Appointment as CEO of Power Machines Turbine Company
At the end of May 2025, the Power Machines company changed its leadership - Alexander Konyukhov was dismissed from the post of general director due to a failure in the delivery of equipment. Alexey Podkolzin, who previously held the post of Deputy General Director for Production, was appointed the new head of the enterprise. This was reported in the Severgroup group, which owns the asset.
According to RBC, Alexander Konyukhov has been in charge of the company since April 2021. Severgroup clarified that significant work was done during its management, but the key obligations under the contracts were not fulfilled. The decision to change was made against the background of claims from customers and government agencies on the deadlines for fulfilling obligations.
According to the Ministry of Energy, as of January 2025, the average lag in the supply of steam turbines manufactured by Power Machines reached two years. The information was discussed at the level of Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the delays affected 21 pieces of equipment, which delayed the commissioning of capacities with a total value of about 2 GW.
Severgroup expressed confidence that the new head will be able to restore the rhythm of the execution of contracts and stabilize production processes.[1]
