Producers of the KamAZ cars against the background of the large-scale project of automation of production processes on the SAP platform completed automation of accounting and tax accounting on the platform of 1C.


JSC Kamaz, the largest Russian automobile corporation with the state more than 45 thousand employees, declared "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8" successful system implementation.

In official release about the project finish released by Intelkom integrator it is said that creation of a uniform corporate information system instead of the "diverse systems and spreadsheets" used in divisions of the company was a main goal of the project.

Such separation of infrastructure did not allow "to obtain quickly necessary information, required considerable labor costs on input, search and the analysis of necessary information, complicated management of the large automobile building enterprise".

Meanwhile, two years ago, in 2008 on "KamAZ" the large-scale ERP project on the SAP platform with the assistance of Microtest integrator already started. The purpose of this project consisted in creation of a system of calendar management of car assembly production: in the project it was going to use opportunities not only SAP ERP, but also others, including the specialized systems of SAP for automotive industry.

However, having selected SAP for production processes, the management of "KamAZ" for some reason did not begin to use this platform for financial accounting, and started the second the ERP project, already on 1C - "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8". Here automation of accounting and tax accounting, difficult and labor-consuming calculations, such as cost accounting and VAT, the reportings (as regulated and necessary for acceptance of management decisions) was a priority.

As Vadim Velinetsky, the director of the business direction of SAP of Microtest company specified TAdviser, in the KamAZ group products of 1C and SAP are used for different tasks. 1C - for support of accounting, SAP – production processes, logistics, cost management. "SAP implementation successfully took place several phases in the KamAZ group which beginning it was announced in 2008. In particular, SAP is already successfully used for accounting and production planning of automobile plant, cost management, quality management", - he noted. Now SAP implementation continues, until the end of 2011 the schedule system of deliveries between the plants of KamAZ group will be implemented.

As for 1C, a new system allowed "KamAZ" to reduce the volume of manual accounting work considerably. Earlier primary documents were created by divisions manually in paper form, and then transferred to accounting where were already entered to different accounting programs. Thus, the same document passed up to 10 stages of manual processing by different departments and divisions. If earlier most part of time of accountants left on camerawork, then now they can be engaged in the analysis.

Staff of 40 departments (300 jobs) of JSC KAMAZ work in a common information space and in real time create accounting documentation, analyze financial results by divisions, control goods remaining balance, payment of accounts. Process of preparation of the regulated reporting, formations of Balance and interpretations to it is automated. The quality and transparency of accounting processes increased, performance of work of general bookkeeping department increased up to 30%.

The chief accountant of the company Andrey Maximov said: " It is the first successful project of such scale in JSC Kamaz. Let's remind, before implementation of "1C:Enterprise 8" automation of specific sites of accounting was implemented in various programs. At the same time any of the automated solutions did not provide complex automation, i.e. implementation of all chain: from input of the primary document before its reflection in all necessary reporting.
