Severstal implements PAC-based object storage from VK Tech

Severstal, together with VK Tech, has implemented an object data and backup storage based on the Object Storage S3 appliance (PAC). The solution will ensure stable and uninterrupted operation of the company's information systems, as well as their subsystems, components and modules, representatives of VK Tech said on June 17, 2025.

Severstal uses VK Tech's Object Storage to store more than 1 petabyte of unstructured, data including custom files and media content Manufacturing MES Execution Systems and backups. databases

VK Tech has deployed a ready-made PAC at Severstal, providing the required horizontal scaling and high data processing performance. Commissioning and integration with corporate information security monitoring and event management (SIEM) systems were carried out in two months. The solution balances the load on routers, increases fault tolerance and reliability of the company's infrastructure. The final phase of the project was successful five-day load and disaster recovery tests at Severstal.
